Saturday 22nd November 2014

Dannevirke Anglican Church – Welcome to our Patch – St. John's Mini Market held in the hall at the back of the Church from 9am til 1pm at 174 High Street. Contact Lynette Morgans 374 8801.

Veteran Car Run – The Central Hawke's Bay branch of the Vintage Car Club will be holding their annual Veteran Car Run for pre 1918 vehicles in Dannevirke. Starting from the Gallery of History in Gordon Street at 9am, then 1pm ish at the Kumeroa Hall. All are welcome to come and have a look at the cars and chat to the owners.

S.H.B. Scottish Society is holding their Birthday Ingleside with Scottish and old time dancing at St. Joseph's Hall, Allardice Street at 7.30pm. Families, a plate please. Everyone is welcome. 

White Ribbon Day – You can stop violence against women. An open event for both men and women at The Hub. 10am to 11am – mix and mingle with music. 11am to Noon – speakers and guest speakers. Dannevirke Young Farmers Club are hosting the Young Farmers District competition which involves the Dannevirke, Balance and Norsewood clubs at the A & P Showgrounds from 9am to 3pm. Prizegiving will then be held at the Mangatera Hotel.

St. Andrew's night celebration – Dannevirke Citizen's and Services Club from 7.30pm. Paper note donation. Featuring: Piping in the Haggis, Robbie Burns Ode to the Haggis, Dannevirke Brass Band, Dannevirke Pipe Band, Combined Brass and Pipe Bands, Celtic Cuz, ongoing music and raffles/auctions. Funds raised go to helping an 8yr old Pongaroa lad and his family deal with muscular dystrophy. Bar available – restaurant open. Ceud mile failte – all welcome. Organised by the Rawhiti Masonic Lodge, Dannevirke.
