Saturday 31st May 2014

Dvke Fantasy Cave, 60 High Street. Open 10am to 12.30pm. Adult $5 and children $2.

Mangatiti Falls walk, 652 Coast Road, Pongaroa. This geographical feature is hidden on farmland, begin walk anytime from 10am to 12.30pm. Allow 2½ hours for walk and viewing. Bring picnic, warm clothing, sturdy footwear and camera. Moderate fitness necessary. More information www.pongaroathewaytogo.org.nz

MatarikiDannevirke Town Hall from 5pm – 8.30pm. Wrap up warm and join us for this annual mid winter festival to celebrate the rise of Matariki - star cluster, heralding the arrival of the Maori New Year. There's soloists, bands, kapa haka and hip hop dancers. Enjoy a range of hot kiwi kai on offer. There's a free photo fun booth for all to enjoy.
